Erwin Peeters

Erwin Peeters

Antwerp, 1964. Erwin became captivated by the impressive fauna at the Antwerp zoo during his 7-year tenure working there, as he interacted with the animals daily.

Erwin, following in the tradition of Rembrandt Bugatti, Albéric Collin, and Ronald De Winter, expressed his artistic passion as an animalier in the Antwerp Zoo by creating bronze sculptures capturing the behavior and movements of animals. By respecting the three pillars of animal sculpture (concept, anatomy, but above all inspiration), Erwin, as a driven autodidact, has taken an important place in the international world of the animaliers.
